Katrin Olina Petursdottir
Katrin Olina Petursdottir is an Icelandic designer and artist whose work has been commissioned, produced and published by the National Gallery in Oslo, Print Magazine, Die Gestalten Verlag, Rosenthal, Fornarina, Dupont Corian(R), and the Montreux Jazz Festival, to name a few.
After graduating from E.S.D.I. in Paris in product design she worked for Philippe Starck’s studio in Paris and Ross Lovegrove’s studio in London, before joining the studio of her husband Michael Young in 1998. Since then, Petursdottir and Young have actively collaborated on high-profile design projects. The Tree coat hanger is one of the best known products of this collaboration.
