Dagur Oskarsson
Dagur Óskarsson (b. 1977) is an Icelandic designer graduated from the Iceland Academy of Arts in 2008. Born and raised in Dalvík, a small fishing village in northern Iceland but currently lives and works in Reykjavík. The D-sledge is based on traditional wooden sleds that used to be common household objects in Iceland, where they were used for everything from joyriding to hauling groceries. Reimagined in fun, contemporary colors, the D-sledge is a playful homage to the past.
The polyethylene plastic sled is cast through rotational molding and produced by Promens in Dalvík.
