Suggestions from the public for the design of the Icelandic flag in the year 1914
In the year 1913 a flag committee, appointed by the minister of Iceland, Hannes Hafstein, set fourth suggestions for a new national flag of Iceland, the flag we still use today. In their report there were also suggestions for the flag designs from the public.
This book contains those 28 suggestions, illustrated by Hörður Lárusson, and shown together for the first time. Preface to the book is written by Guðmundur Oddur Magnússon and historical text on the Icelandic flag is written by Haukur Harðarson.
